Cloaked in light up to the end, an F4U Corsair dives on its prey

F4U Corsair

"Out of the Sun"

Beautiful, dangerous, or both? The F4U dives out of its cloak of light.

The last propeller-driven fighter built in the US, the Vought F4U Corsair fought from Guadalcanal to Korea. It had a high top speed and could absorb a lot of combat damage. The distinctive bent wings reduced drag and gave the 13-foot propeller ground clearance. The Corsair had an 11 to 1 kill ratio against Japan in WWII, and shot down a MiG-15 jet in the Korean War.

The poster and print are on high-quality paper. Note: The Aero Art Caricature logo is in this image only to deter digital theft. It is not part of the print or poster.
